Dads first outing to his docs. he was really hot so mom draped his head in wet towels to help cool him down, so he decided play it up.

Hi Y'All!

Don is finally cat-napping so I wanted to print up his mail, and make some replies. You have been so wonderful for his morale. Waking up from a long sleep is an emotional and confusing ordeal. He looks forward to hearing from people now that all he has is me and the critters.  Thanks so much for being on our cheering squad!!!!  It is hard to be the nurse, dietitian,cook, housekeeping person, therapists, aide and butt wiper,laundress, pillow fluffer, back scratcher/massager, secretary, and remember to be the wife too! He has tried hard to be a good patient and remember his pleases and thank you's. Hardest of all is to poke him with needles, even if it is for his own good. He is still cleaning his plate, he has to since his portions have become smaller to help him lose more weight. I know if he keeps on the way he has, he will be much better in no time!

Keep writing and someday, Don may answer you himself!

HOME SWEET HOME

dads home now. had a few bumps on the way but he's doing good, just really tired. His cat is watching him like a hock and his puppy is confused and worried about her daddy be is being a really good girl.

SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN UPDATE LOST TRACK OF TIME WHEN GOING OVER VOTING INFO AND THEN FEEL ASLEEP

So GREAT news dad is going home today. he will be working all morning on checking out and then should be home by late afternoon sometime around 4-6 I would guess. 

He will not be getting a hospital bed at home so Gal and Henry are letting him borrow one of there spare beds for the time being.

He no longer has the cast/brace on his arm, they will be sending him home with a temp that he can take on and off.

He is doing really well got himself up the other day and went to the restroom and brushed his teeth all by himself. 

He Is very excited to b going home and can hardly wait for me to get there.

Dads doing good. He went for a ride in a wheal chair today to have an ultrasound of his arm because it was swelling up and they thought it might be a blood clot. It turned out that it wasn't they had just wrapped his arm to tight. He is no longer eating pureed food anymore and  could be going home some time tuesday or wed. He can Hardly wait.
